Erika Nyhus
Erika is working on her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She holds a B.A. in psychology and anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley. Her background in anthropology combined with her travels in Morocco and Central America have led to a desire to help people from poor regions of the world. ATNI’s focus on increasing health care and education opportunities for disadvantaged people parallels her belief that aid should focus on creating opportunities for sustainable economic growth. Erika previously volunteered with ATNI as an assistant grant writer.

Lindsay Mitchell
Lindsay Mitchell recently joined ATNI as a volunteer researcher and writer. Lindsay graduated in May from Colorado State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology. She has always had a passion to help those who are suffering in the developing world. After returning from a trip to India this past June, where she volunteered with street children, her desire to work for those less fortunate intensified. Lindsay is very excited to be a part of ATNI and welcomes the opportunity to gain some experience with an NGO that is working to improve living conditions in some of the world's poorest countries.

Maha Kamal
Maha Kamal was born in Colorado and has lived in Colorado ever since, although her family is originally from Pakistan. She just recently graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with her B.A. in International Affairs. She is currently preparing to start a Masters program focused on diplomacy and international studies so that she may, in the near-future, work for the United Nations Children's Fund. Maha is also jointly-pursuing a Nursing degree so that she can also practice pediatric nursing abroad. In her spare time, she loves traveling, painting and reading a good issue of The Economist.

Genevieve Dennard
Genevieve Dennard is a senior anthropology and geography major at University of Colorado at Boulder. Her recent trip to Hohoe, Ghana left her with a strong need to volunteer for an international organization that focuses on creating greater opportunities for those who need it. She also enjoys volunteering for locally based organizations such as the Humane Society and Carriage House.
